Lush Decor French Country Toile
Cotton toile is a wonderful look that mixes with so many styles. The old fashioned print is traditional and adds a cottage feel. Lush Decor makes mix and match reversible toile bedding, window treatments and a shower curtain.
The French Country Toile pattern that Lush Decor uses looks like a scene from an old village.
It comes in four colors.
- Blue on White
- Charcoal on White: Light and dark grey on a white background
- White and Grey on Yellow
- White and Grey on Faded Sea Glass Blue
It comes in four different color choices. The blue and navy on white is my favorite, but doesn’t come on as many things. It doesn’t come on any of the things that are quilted.
My second choice is a sort of faded sea glass blue with the print in grey and white. It is only available on the things that are quilted.
The grey versions are available both as quilted bedding and as un-quilted curtain panels and a shower curtain.
It comes with a yellow background or with a white background.
It is grey, not black on white.
The print includes figures, trees, a boat, a farm with geese, a water mill and a windmill.
A French Windmill?
Yes, there are windmills in France. They are not all in the Netherlands. There are a lot of windmills in France. The French word for windmill is “moulin.” So any time you see “Moulin de la…,” it’s a windmill. (Moulin Rouge was not a real windmill. Just like the windmill on the old Dutch Inn hotels, just for looks.)
The binding is the toile pattern. The reverse has a coordinating grey stripe and dot pattern.

The curtains are sold by the pair, two panels per package.

The curtains have a rod pocket that holds a rod up to 3″ wide.Then an additional 2″ puff up above the rod.
Or you can use clip on rings for a more vintage look.
