Umbrella-shaped Blue and White Porcelain Tea Strainers

These little Umbrella Tea Strainer sets are adorable. They look like a little porcelain umbrella and fit into a stand.

They are made to catch any leaves that haven’t been caught yet when you brew loose tea. They are not meant to just dump the tea and leaves into. You pour through the strainer on the pot and this catches any leaves that might get through.
Or you can put your sugar cube in the umbrella. Pour the tea over it, it melts with the tea and doesn’t need to be stirred in.

The porcelain is pierced with a lot of little holes.

When you finish straining your tea, the tip of umbrella fits into the saucer to hold it up and catch any drips.

This is a better look at the blue and white transfer pattern of flowers and butterflies.

Other colors are available. This white porcelain version has a traditional Chinoiserie blue and red floral pattern on white porcelain.

The umbrella and saucer have a detailed but delicate shape.

The metal centers fit together securely.

This umbrella-shaped tea strainer has a matte finish, like old Chinese pottery.

It is available with a hanger, to store the umbrella and while using it, so any leaves you strain out of your tea can’t be spilled accidentally.

This beautiful little sterling silver umbrella is also a tea net.

It can be used to strain tea leaves from tea brewed with loose tea.

This umbrella tea infuser is used like a teabag. Just fill with loose tea and put in your cup. Let the tea steep a little bit and lift the umbrella out. Don’t stir it around or the tea will break up and come out the little holes.
