Small Blue and White Plant Pots for Succulents

Small Blue and White Plant Pots

Succulents are really popular right now. You see them all over Pinterest and they are in every magazine. They are easy to grow and come in many variations.

Your friends might even be giving you little pieces of their succulents to poke in soil and grow your own.

So, if you have a sunny spot, all you need is a pot that provides good drainage and you can try growing a cactus, jade plant or sedum of your own.

Square Cobalt Blue and White Planter Pot with Chinese Designs

These little pots were one of the first ones that came up when I looked. I am sure it is because Amazon has figured out that I am more likely to buy blue and white chinoiserie.

They are really cute. They are not as small as some of the others, 5.75″ wide x 5″ high. And they don’t drain. The little pots stand on feet and there is no hole in the bottom. They would be cute to put the plant into if you leave the plant in the pot it comes in. You can put a few little rocks in the bottom below the inner pot to be sure it isn’t resting in any water that might accumulate. Or take the inner pot out, run some water through, then put it back in. That could get tedious pretty quickly.

Rectangle Cobalt Blue and White Planter Pot with Landscape Design

This rectangular planter is smaller, only 3.25″ wide. It is long enough to put two or three little plants into.

Drain Hole in Rectangle Cobalt Blue and White Planter Pot

There is a good sized drain hole at the bottom, so it would work well for succulents.  It doesn’t come with a tray. You could put a number of small pots on a single tray or plate. Or use any oval or rectangular plate you already have. If you are like me, you have a lot of Blue Willow and friends to choose from.

They have good drainage.

They come with a small bamboo saucer

These little sets come with small bamboo saucers. The saucers won’t catch the over flow if you over water, but they will keep the drips off the furniture.

This might be my favorite. This little owl is just the right size for a cute little cactus.
